We're delighted to have you here, and we're excited to share our passion for gourmet cheese with you. As a small but dedicated team of cheese makers, we're always on the lookout for new and unique flavors to add to our selection.
When asked today, we say that creation of cheesery was natural - at a time when homemade gifts became popular, we wanted to try something different, and one that we would also like; to create a product that we can be proud of, a product that directly carries the values of Latvia - the wonderful nature, fields, meadows, farming traditions.
Being located in Ādaži, Soira is not only conveniently close to Riga but also helps to shorten our delivery chain, making our cheese production more environmentally friendly.
As the smallest cheese factory in Latvia, we take great pride in producing over 20 varieties of cheese daily, from fresh options to long-ripened, hard cheeses.

The name of the cheese factory is derived from the word Cheese - sȭira of Liv origin, emphasizing that Latvians have known cheese long ago.
Today, SOIRA is a gourmet brand that combines traditional cheese-making techniques with a modern understanding of the fast-growing organic food market.

The unique Soira cheese has only two ingredients: milk and salt. The rest is provided by way of making, bacteria and moulds that do their job in natural skilful maturing process.
Milk from the local herd is used in the production of cheese, which means that cows graze in natural meadows, enjoy the sun, rain, and Latvian summer outdoors. Production in just 20 km from of the capital - has shortened the delivery route to the largest consumer - Rīga.
Our goal is to make every effort to put Latvia on the world map as a country with quality and excellent food.
